Trevor’s client-focused approach and design experience means he is able to visualise each project, balancing practicalities with aesthetics
Trevor Harris has more than 40 years’ experience as a carpenter and bespoke furniture maker. His vision for Cotswold CreativeFurniture is to design and create timeless pieces that can be passed from one generation to the next. Trevor’s client-focused approach and design experience means he is able to visualise each project, balancing practicalities with aesthetics.
Trevor’s passion for working with wood started at a young age. Throughout his school career, he was supported by his teachers – one in particular saw something in Trevor, providing him with additional time and opportunities to develop his skills. This included allowing him access to the woodwork shop during break times and challenging him with difficult tasks to improve his abilities.
Throughout his career, Trevor has worked with many skilled craftsmen enabling him to gain a wealth of knowledge and techniques. This, combined with his 40 years of experience and a passion to design and create bespoke pieces, results in high-quality, unique furniture that enhances any living or work space.
By listening to the client’s needs, Trevor will develop a design that balances the style and construction so it is in harmony with its location. He takes sole responsibility for a project by overseeing the craftsmanship and communicating in matters of timescale and design. The client is kept at the forefront of the project throughout every stage.
Cotswold Creative Furniture is based in a well-equipped workshop that contains traditional tools and equipment through to the latest modern machinery. Although Trevor has a wealth of traditional knowledge, he continues to broaden his skill base by embracing new processes and methods.
Trevor, a practicing Christian, lives in the Cotswolds with his wife Alison and their two dogs Tiggy and Delphi.
